【Notice regarding fingerprint registration for visa application ※update on 4th February】
Based on the laws and regulations related to China, referring to international traffic methods and skilled experience, the Embassy of China in Japan will start measures to collect personal bio identification information such as fingerprints for Chinese visa appiliacants (Excluding applicants of Hong Kong, Macau visa) from 8th february 2021. The personal biometric information of the fingerprint will be collected at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center at the time of visa application.
The following people are exempt from collection:
(1) Those under 14 years old or over 70 years old
(2) Those who have missing all fingers or cannot be recognized by machines
(3) Those who have registered their fingerprints at the Chinese Embassy in Japan with the same passport within 5 years
(4) Those who have a diplomatic passport or meet the requirements for Chinese diplomatic, official and courtesy visas
Please note the following.
Applicants must register their fingerprint at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center. If you impersonate yourself and register your fingerprint, you may be denied entry to China. The applicant is responsible for all troubles caused by it. Making a plan early for a smooth trip and making a reservation on the official website of the China Visa Application Center please.
